Spring is in full swing! That means it’s the perfect time to do some fun activities. Whether it’s with your family, friends, or solo. They can be outdoors or indoors, free or costly. There are so many ways to enjoy this season. Let’s take a look at my personal opinion on the top 10 Fun Activities to Do in the Spring!
10 Fun Activities to do in the Spring
Dancing in the Rain
This is a perfect activity to do on a rainy spring day. April and May showers can bring down the mood but taking the positive out of the day make all the difference. Your kids will think you are the coolest for letting them splash in all the puddles and get soaking wet! You will have a happy family memory to last a lifetime!
Having a Picnic
This is such a universal springtime activity. You can pack whatever food you like, go to a different destination each time, and just take in the beauty of nature around the amazing company. You could also take this time for yourself as a self-care and mental recharge activity. Bring a book, a journal, or a camera to capture all the peace and quiet of that around you.
Strawberry Picking at a Farm
This is on my spring activities list this year! I’m a huge berry lover. Whether it’s in my overnight oats, smoothie, or just an alone snack. This would be a great idea for a spring date or family outing. If you live around the Kentuckiana area I have found the most highly recommended spot.

Plant Spring Flowers or Garden
I remember going to pick out flowers each spring when I was little. They never really lasted that long but they still added a colorful beauty to the outside of our old house. One year I was in late high school or early college, and I tried planting a garden. That did not turn out too well. I don’t know if it was the Walmart seeds or my lack of a green thumb. But I wish you the best of luck with your garden if you decide to start one this spring, babe!
What is Rainbow Chasing you may ask? It is taking the time right after a rainstorm to look outside and find as many rainbows. You could even get in the car and try to find the end of the rainbow before it disappears! Another great fun activity for families with little ones!
Visit a Zoo or Botanical Garden
If you are lucky enough to live near a Zoo or Botanical Garden those would be a perfect spring activity for all ages. I’m 24 and I love spending the day at a zoo or aquarium not gonna lie. Omaha Nebraska has the best zoo with St. Louis Missouri a close second.
Go biking or hiking
This is an easy and inexpensive spring activity for those that love the outdoors. There are plenty of State or National parks with amazing trails. You could also just take a bike ride through your neighborhood. The possibilities are endless.
Shop at a Farmers Market
When spring starts farmers’ markets begin! This is a great morning spring activity. Check to see if you have a local farmers’ market on certain days and times, everyone’s area does them differently. It’s a great way to support your local businesses and get quality products. That’s a win-win in my book babes!
Take pictures with spring flowers
April’s showers bring May flowers! Spring is the perfect time to take new family pictures or just have a little photo shoot for yourself. The trees are all in bloom, tulips are popping up, and the vibrant colors of spring would make a perfect background to any photo.
Take a drive with the windows down
This spring activity is my boyfriend’s favorite. He loves taking one of the show vehicles out for a spin with the windows down. Family and friends can all pile in a vehicle and cruise through town or the back roads. You could also just drive solo with the window in your hair and the music turned up. Both are perfect inexpensive spring activities.
