Ipsy Glam Bag Review – May 2023

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

It’s Ipsy Glam Bag review time! The five May products I got are valued at $50+. This month’s theme is “Let Yourself Bloom”. The bag is a beautiful bright abstract floral pattern. Ipsy’s message for this month’s theme is “Bring on brighter days and warmer weather! There‘s a new season on the horizon, so get outside, feel the sun on your skin (but don’t forget the SPF), and allow yourself to bloom into your full potential.” Let’s open up the bag to see what products I got this month.

Ipsy Glam Bag Review - May 2023

The Nue Co SKin Filter Serum

Want all the benefits of retinol without the reaction? This retinol alternative is suitable for all skin types. Powered by plant-based extracts, AHAs, and hyaluronic acid, it works to help smooth fine lines, clear blemishes and brighten skin tone, all without redness.

I love how this product makes my skin feel after each use. It leaves no redness or dryness. I like the benefits it is supposed to guarantee. I look forward to using it more often but the last couple weeks of use have been great! This product gets a 9 out of 10.

Pear Nova Lunar Lip Sytlo in Asteroid

If you want to level up your lip game, this rosy nude lip liner is a no-brainer. The no budge formula helps create a perfect canvas for whatever lippie you use on top. Even just your favorite lip balm.

I love the color of this lipliner and how creamy it feels. It has become my favorite everyday simple look with clear lip gloss. It gets a 10 out of 10 from me!

Truddluv Argan Style Cream

This styling cream not only hydrates even the driest of strands, but it also helps get hair smooth, shiny, frizz-free, and touchably soft thanks to the black truffle extract that helps condition your hair to perfection.

I don’t like getting hair care products. I’m very careful and picky with what I use on my hair. This product gets a 1 out of 10 automatically. I really wish they would stop sending me hair products.

TheBalm Cosmetics Anne T. Dotes Tinted Moisturizer in #18

This complexion perfector goes beyond the surface. It’s got bio-retinol plus murumuru seed butter and vitamins A and C to help protect, hydrate, and even out your skin time with natural-looking coverage.

I was hesitant about the shade being a tad too dark but it actually was perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the coverage. It was barely covering anything. I had to go over with a powder foundation to reach the coverage I look for in a foundation. This product gets a 8 out of 10 from me.

Clinique Even Better Clinical Brightening Moisturizer

Are you ready for a serious glow-up? This brightening moisturizer is here to give your skin the boost it needs. Packed with vitamin C and nourishing ingredients, this lightweight formula helps to even out skin tone, fade dark marks, and leave your skin feeling soft and supple.

Not a fan of this moisturizer. Using it at night wasn’t bad but in the morning, it was peeling off after a couple hours. Not sure if I will even use this again after that. The moisturizer gets a 5 out of 10.

Overall this month’s Glam Bag had some great products. There was a deadbeat but that’s okay. The brown eyeliner made up for it! I can’t wait to keep using all the other products. The May Glam Bag gets a 7/10 from me! I’m looking forward to what the June Glam Bag will be bringing. Laters babes!
